About Barb Hadath
INTRODUCING BARB HADATH
Barb Hadath is a welcome addition to Pilates Performance. Barb initially discovered the benefits of Pilates as a student, and now continues both as a student and an instructor. She is eager to share her passion for Pilates, and is an inspiration to others. I enjoy being her mentor.
MPB
Barb Hadath is certified in the Pilates Matwork and Vertical Pilates.
Her training took place at Coyne Pilates (Toronto) and Body Harmonics (Toronto).
Her certification was obtained from PhysicalMind Institute (New York). Barb is continuing
her Pilates education by enrolling in additional courses and workshops.
Professionally, it has always been important for Barb to assist people
in becoming aware of themselves both mentally and physically. This makes Pilates
a perfect fit for her. Her physical conditioning began early as a child with classical
ballet lessons. As an adult, she continued with health studies at University of Waterloo
and volunteered as an aerobic instructor at the AR Kaufman “YMCA”. She
has worked as a cosmetic consultant and an educational assistant.
Barb is also active as the mother of two children. It was after her pregnancies,
that she developed lower back pain. This prompted her to investigate different therapies
to seek relief, including reflexology, massage and chiropractic. It was through these
therapies that she discovered Pilates, and found the classes to be very beneficial.
She knew she wanted to share the benefits with others. So with the encouragement
of her chiropractor, Barb was referred to Pilates Performance. As a student, she
loved the flow of the classes and the natural progression from week to week. It did
not take long for her to realize that she wanted to teach.
Barb knows from experience, that Pilates is
not a fad or a “quick fix”,
and with commitment, you can see and feel the results.
