This should be the starting point for all new students, regardless of their fitness level. Think of it as an “awareness” session as opposed to a “power workout”. We request that newcomers do not skip this level, as this is the foundation for learning good form and the philosophies of Pilates.
A great class for those seeking a stepping stone from Fundamentals. Also recommended for the experienced student looking to review the basics.
This level is ideal for those having completed Fundamentals. It can be a stepping stone to the more advanced levels (however some students may choose to remain at this level, as it is the perfect fit for their body and its capabilities).
Who doesn’t need to stretch or work on their balance? Often we avoid the exercises we need the most and that was my motivation for creating the Stretch and Balance class at the studio!
Similar to Core Integration with an emphasis on safe and effective exercises for the spine and joints. Great intermediate class, especially for anyone with osteoporosis or osteoarthritis, but also attended by those without these issues.
Designed for those wanting an intermediate to advanced workout. Appropriate level to enroll in once having participated in Fundamentals and Core Integration.
The exercises are demanding and dynamic. This is considered the most intense of all the levels, and only recommended for the advanced participant. The movements are challenging and at times complex, designed to build strength and endurance.
Adding spring resistance is brilliant , in that the student chooses the tension and range of motion that is right for them. This customizes the workout, leaving the student with a sense of control, leaving the class feeling strong, upright and energized.
Please read the class level description under Springboard I. Springboard II simply builds on Springboard I to make the workout more demanding and challenging. It is also important for students to experience Springboard I, so they have an idea how to modify the intensity back to Springboard I level when necessary.
Osteo Springboard is an amazing workout specially designed for those with Osteoporosis and/or Osteoarthritis. Similar to the Osteo-Core mat class, the exercises are designed to minimize stress on the spine and joints and leave the student feeling strong, tall and energized.
