I was diagnosed with scoliosis in my early teens.   As I grew older I started experiencing lower back and hip pain, my physiotherapist recommended I try Pilates.  I am now in my third session and no longer have the pain.  As an added bonus my 12 year old daughter started showing an interest and has joined me for classes.   What a great, relaxing, non-competitive  mother-daughter activity!   For that hour each week there is no generation gap.  Mary Pat and Barb make everyone feel welcome and both are excellent instructors.

As a very tall man, I have experienced back pain for many years.  It was always particularly sore in the mornings.  I tried chiropractic treatment and massage.  While they helped temporarily, I did not feel it was dealing with the source of my problem - poor muscle strength.

Some work friends encouraged me to enroll in a Pilates program but I didn't get around to it until this year.  My wife and I are participating in the Fundamentals program this Fall. After only 3 classes, I am already starting to feel the benefits!  As well, I find it a very relaxing break.  Barb Hadath certainly runs a great class.

Mary Pat is an extraordinarily good teacher. I've been taking Pilates now for approximately 3 years. I'm amazed at how she teaches each class with a new zeal and is able to use such creative variations with each excercise such that we've never been bored. She is able to challenge us without overextending us and yet is able to cater to and accomodate individuals with injuries or difficulties. Further she has a unique ability to make it fun ! I recommend her classes highly and without reservation.

Approximately 5 years ago I discovered Mary Pat and her Pilates Program. At that time I was not quite sure what Pilates was all about, but I was willing to give it a try…just as I had previously done with Yoga years before.

I feel exercise in any modality is very important. Because I have a mild case of fibromayalgia I have to be careful with the type and amount of exercise I do. Mary Pat was very patient and understanding. She allowed me to progress at my own pace, but still giving me that encouragement to do better. ( I am now in a Links I class.)   I feel that Mary Pat not only has physical skills, she also has people skills which contribute to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere in the classes. Pilates and Mary Pat work for me.

I have been a student in Mary Pat's Pilates class for three years. Even from day one I have always enjoyed Mary Pat's positive, calm manner with her students and her sense of humour which is a real plus at the end of the day! I have progressed through many stages of the Pilates classes and have found her knowledge of this type of exercise to be superior as she guides you through the challenges of each stage, taking care of the needs and modifications that need to be addressed with individual abilities. Her ability to communicate with her students is always clear, patient and encouraging.The class also promotes comraderie and support from fellow "Pilates" friends and is a great way to relax, de-stress and tone your body all at the same time. As long as Pilates Performance has open doors...I will be going to class!
